About Us

Wesley Newton was born and raised in Ballard County. When he was a sophomore at Ballard Memorial High School he started working at Whipple’s Market in 2007. Whipple’s had been a family-owned business since 1931.

In October of 2012 Greg’s Supermarket purchased Whipple’s Market and Wesley was attending Murray State University where he went on to receive his Bachelors degree in Business Administration in 2013 and then became the acting store manager.

Wesley continued working for Greg’s Supermarket for 10 years before finally purchasing 2 of their locations (La Center & Bardwell) in January of 2023.
